BURLINGTON, VT – In a game defined by pitching, Westfield Starfires first baseman, Nick Serce's two-run single in the third inning provided the winning margin as Team Mountain defeated Team Lake 3-1 in the 2023 Futures Collegiate Baseball League All-Star Game at Centennial Field in Burlington, Vermont on Tuesday. After two scoreless innings, Team Mountain loaded the bases in the third. Freddy Forgione walked, followed by a first-pitch single to right by Westfield's Kiernan Caffrey. A pitch then hit Ryan Gerety.
