Norwich ― Back-to-back debates involving Norwich candidates for Board of Education and City Council will be held Oct. 18 at Norwich Free Academy. The evening will begin with a debate from 6 to 7:15 p.m. among the 12 candidates ― six Democrats and six Republicans ― running for Board of Education. Following that session, the 11 candidates for City Council will take the stage at Slater Auditorium from 7:30 to 8:45 p.m. The debates are co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Southeastern Connecticut, Latinos for Educational Advocacy and Diversity and Norwich Free Academy.
