NORWICH — Global City Norwich and the Communauté Togolaise de Connecticut held a short flag raising ceremony on Thursday for the Republic of Togo , a West African country, next to Ghana and Benin. Thursday marked 63 years of the country's independence from France. Members of the Togolese community came to Norwich City Hall for the occasion, joined by local political and non-profit leaders.
