A Maryland man was sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court in New Haven to 10 years in prison, followed by 6 years of supervised release, for trafficking narcotics in southeastern Connecticut. A jury on Aug. 3, 2022 had found Kareem 'K' Swinton, 41, whose last known address was Owings Mills, Md. and who formerly lived in Norwich, guilty of one count of conspiracy to possess narcotics with intent to distribute, and to distribute, cocaine and cocaine base, or 'crack,' and one count of possession with intent to distribute, and distribution of, a controlled substance, according to the news release.
