April 02, 2023 5:47 pm • Last Updated: April 02, 2023 5:56 pm Norwich ― City police said they responded to a 'very large volume' of noise complaints stemming from a car show Sunday afternoon. Sgt. Stephanie Reichard said the department took no issue with the car show itself but received calls from throughout the city and as far as Preston once the music contest portion of the Connecticut Street Warriors car show at 80 Stonington Road began. Reichard said the cars have heavily modified sound systems and said residents complained the bass from the subwoofers was shaking their homes.
