Reviews of Dr. Linda R. Kronick, DMD

I am very upset with this DR. I went in for a regular cleaning with my dental insurance Humana which covers a regular cleaning and xrays every two years... so i was due for xrays and they started with that. After the xrays we discussed cleaning. I made sure to ask Stacy the girl at the front to check my insurance and see if the cleaning would be covered, she said yes but the additional cleaning needed after would not and that portion would be $160.00. They both, the DR and the girl at the desk lead me to believe the additional work would be $160.00 and the cleaning done that day would be covered. THE ADDITIONAL WORK... MEANING WORK PERFORMED AFTER THE INITIAL CLEANING. They are incorrect... they purposely put the code in differently so the insurance would not cover the cleaning or the xrays... THEY FLAT OUT LIED.... I discussed the payment amount with them and they GUARANTEED it is covered after I had her look up the codes, But what they did was put the deep cleaning in first and schedule me for a regular cleaning after. THIS IS NOT WHAT I WAS TOLD WAS HAPPENING AT THE TIME OF VISIT!!! I was lead to believe I had gotten a regular cleaning and would have to go back for a deep cleaning for $160.00, but now that I am calling them regarding this no one seems to have a recollection of any conversation with me other than them telling me that I would be responsible for the whole cleaning... I purposely got my insurance for my cleaning that day and because of these people none of the services done that day were covered so I am stuck with a $273.00 bill... THESE PEOPLE LIE, AND SHE IS REALLY A RUDE LADY ANYWAY... I would go somewhere else.

I am sorry to hear of the negative experiences of the previous reviewers, and would like to add my positive one here for some balance. I am a new patient, having contacted Dr. Kronick's office due to excruciating (is there any other kind of pain when it's dental?) pain, and, since it has been years since my last visit to a dentist, I knew there were going to be a lot of future visits to rectify other major dental problems.
I made the appointment and THEN read the reviews! I was very apprehensive, but was soon put at ease by my much different encounter with Dr. Kronick and her staff. My coworkers were quite amused that I read the reviews AFTER making the appointment, and were glad to hear that all went well. Though I know they would have been more amused if there was some sort of brawl with Makitas at dawn :)
I have made several visits in the short time I have been a patient. I have been treated well each time and am impressed both with the knowledge of the staff, and also their cordiality.
Since I had not been to a dentist in at least 8 years or so, I knew going in that there were going to be a lot of issues aside from the immediate one of a painful cavity. The first visit, I got an intense cleaning and X-rays. I can still feel every tooth, as they got about a decade's worth of tarter off them! I was given a prescription for antibiotics for an infection that showed up in the x-rays--an old root canal that apparently did not heal. Note that I could plainly see this in the x-rays, and is not to be construed as an unnecessary expense. The next visit took care of the two cavities.
As for the more complex issues, I got a cone-something...(similar to a cat scan) to be used for a future procedure on my front teeth (they were knocked out years ago and replaced with post & crowns). I also knew that these teeth needed some work, as over the years, my gums looked like they were receding, so none of what I was shown in my results of either x-ray or other processes seemed to be out of line with what I have observed.
I have to say that I was impressed with the technology used, and the time Dr. Kronick and her associates took to show and explain everything. They have repeatedly told me that if I have any questions, that I can also email them.
Sorry for such a long post, but I wanted to let people know that my experience(s) with Dr. Kronick have been very positive and for any potential patients reading the reviews: Do not be afraid! You will be in good hands.
